The Sjogren’s and Lupus Foundation of Hawaii is excited to be coming to Molokai on Saturday, October 5, 2019! This will be our first Wellness Education and Encouragement Workshop on the island. Our guest speakers will be Kristine Uramoto, MD,Rheumatologist on Oahu and Anthony Chrisco who is a founding member of the Fascia Research Society.
Dr. Uramoto is the President of the Hawaii Rheumatology Society and a Board member with the Sjogren’s and Lupus Foundation of Hawaii. She has been a great support and educator for many years and continues to share her knowledge with patients, families and communities every day.
Anthony is the inventor of the Fascianator Self-Myofascial Release Roller and the Fascianation Method Rolling Class. He is also the co-author of Pain Free Everyday. He has been a great teacher and support for those living with an autoimmune disease. He’s been able to share the Fascianator with people around the world and has helped to teach them how to take care of their body.
We invite everyone living with an autoimmune disease, anyone interested in learning more about how to live healthy with their disease and anyone who would like to learn and get educated. We highly encourage family members, friends and those who provide support to attend too. Learning to live with an autoimmune disease can be difficult and having the knowledge and support to survive each day is key to living a healthier and happier life.
This event will be held from 11am to 1pm at Home Pumehana Community Hall at 290 Kolapa Place in Kaunakakai. We will be providing healthy snacks, education, and support as well as helping you to connect with others too. Hokulani Alcon will be hosting this event so please email her with any questions and RSVP to [email protected].
Please visit the foundation at slfhawaii.org, on Facebook, and Instagram @slfhawaii. Contact Melaca Cannella, RN President and Founder for future events and to connect to help raise awareness in Hawaii.
